Our 2 Bedroom home, or 'Hausl' as we call it (means "little house" in dialect), is nestled near the edge of the village on the north side of the valley. With its stone and earth morter foundation, thick walls, wooden floors and traditional spiral staircase it has a character all its own. The living room with its large turkish rug, comfortable sofa's and chairs, high windows and beautiful blue ceramic free standing fireplace give one a warm and comfortable feeling. Both bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has a finely crafted, hand oiled king size bed, leather sofa, armoire, dresser, etc. A window/door opens out onto the balcony overlooking the valley and the lower part of the village. The second bedroom has the same ameniteis but two single beds instead, and does not open out onto the balcony, though the window opens out onto the same view. Whether you would like to enjoy winter sports, such as sking the local mountains, or lounging around the swimming lake in the village durring the summer, Moenichwald is a neat and orderly village with kind and hospitable residents that will make you feel comfortable at this home swap in Austria
