Well-Appointed Mountainside Chalet Near Killington Our Vermont home is a smaller, well-appointed mountainside chalet of approximately 1,300 square feet, set at an elevation of 1,850 feet in the beautiful Green Mountains. The property is uniquely located within the former Round Top Ski Area, a non-operating ski resort that today offers a peaceful and distinctive mountain setting just minutes from Killington. The main living level features a bright, open-concept floor plan oriented toward the mountains, with beautiful winter views and a comfortable, inviting atmosphere. The open layout makes excellent use of the space and is ideal for relaxing and spending time together after a day outdoors. The primary bedroom is conveniently located on the main floor, with a full bathroom just outside. The walkout lower level offers two additional smaller bedrooms, a second full bathroom, and a comfortable sitting area. Sliding glass doors provide direct outdoor access, making this level particularly well suited to an active mountain lifestyle. In winter, we use it as our entry point for skis, boots, and snow gear; in summer, it is ideal for mountain bikes and trail equipment. What makes our home truly special is its location. We are approximately five miles from Killington and five miles from the gondola on Route 100—close enough to enjoy everything the resort area has to offer, while returning to a setting that feels quiet and removed from the activity of the main resort corridor.
