We operate a placer gold mine in the Yukon Canada, and have for over 25 years. We have made a habit of inviting select guests for a week long visit for years now, and everyone enjoys it immensely. We are located in one of the most scenic areas in Yukon, the Kluane area known for incredible hiking, fishing and outdoor pursuits. We pick folks up in Whitehorse, drive 200 miles out to our camp, and the adventure begins there. We have gold panning, atvs to ride, and the opportunity to participate in a real gold mining cleanup. The gold mining is a full fledged operation, similar to Gold Rush Alaska and other such shows currently on TV. We have traded weeks in Florida condos with friends and they have said it was the best vacation ever for them. The accommodation is a small rustic cabin, with bathroom and all food is eaten with the crew. It is a chance to experience a gold mining adventure at its best, with no cost. You will be our guests and treated with true Yukon hospitality. We genuinely love to have people experience the Yukon, and our summer lifestyle. We are operational June-mid October, and the recommended window is 1st of July to mid August. This is not a tourism business, it is just a way to allow a few folks a year to experience something exotic, and for us to enjoy some time in warmer climes with little expense. It is a family run business, my wife and daughter and I have been on this creek for over 25 years. It will be a holiday like no other, and is only for the most adventurous folks. You will be able to pan for gold, metal detect, we will take you on incredibly scenic guided atv (quad) rides, possibly see a grizzly or two, and experience a lifestyle that has existed in the Yukon since the days of the Klondike Gold Rush.
