Our 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath mountain chalet offers the perfect family vacation all year round. Situated on top of Beech Mountain, we are only 1 mile from the ski slopes and children’s sledding hill in the Winter and are surrounded by beautiful hiking and biking trails to enjoy during the Summer months. The house also sits right beside a creek which our children love, digging for salamanders and playing in the water for hours. On the main floor we have a master bedroom with a queen bed and adjoining bath, as well as a guest room with a full bed. Upstairs in the loft we have two full beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, etc as well as a dishwasher and microwave and a small stacked washer/dryer. The living room has a gas stone fireplace, flat screen TV/CABLE/DVD/INTERNET and very cozy leather couches. The basement is not fully finished but does offer plenty of space for children to spread out, play and watch movies. Summer in the mountains usually doesn’t reach much higher than about 72 degrees so we love to spend hours on the deck, grilling on the gas grill and watching the kids in the creek. Our property is surrounded by trees which offers lots of privacy. Beech Mountain is within easy driving distance of Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Boone and Blowing Rock so there are endless opportunities for day trips. We leave the house fully stocked with linens/towels/paper products etc. We have 3 small children so the house is childproofed and contains lots of toys/board games/puzzles etc for little ones. For a nominal fee, users of our home can enjoy a heated pool, golf, tennis, clubhouse dining and an indoor recreation center.
