WHO WE ARE

 

The Vacation Exchange Network (VEN) is the only home swap program specializing in vacation and second homes.  Established in 1997, VEN is the largest network of vacation homes available for exchange. Our Network includes over one thousand homes in the United States and hundreds of international properties as well.

 

The Vacation Exchange Network was conceived by travelers who purchased a vacation home but who wished to continue to travel around the country and the world. When faced with the idea of paying thousands of dollars to rent someone else's vacation home while ours went unused, we asked ourselves, "Why not trade a stay in our vacation home for a stay in someone else's home?" That question led to the development of The Vacation Exchange Network.

 

We pride ourselves on being a different type of home exchange program. Based in the United States, The Vacation Exchange Network offers non-mutual and non-simultaneous home swaps, enabling travelers to vacation anywhere without the necessity of having to find an exchange partner who desires to travel where their home is located when they'd like to travel. All of the homes in our Network are vacation homes and second homes in desirable vacation destinations, ensuring all exchanges feel like real vacations and facilitating flexibility in travel dates. Additionally, our exchange coordinators help members find home trading partners and arrange their home swaps, saving our members countless hours of searching and coordinating.

 

Since the launch of the Network, we have been committed to fulfilling a need unanswered by other travel and house swap programs. This translates into more vacation opportunities and smoother exchanges for our members. At a time when other forms of travel are decreasing, membership in the Vacation Exchange Network and house swaps made by Network members are on the rise, as travelers fine-tune their vacations to fit the needs of their wallet.
